Terms of Use

Last updated: May 31, 2026

The short version. Your use of the Level app is governed by Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "EULA"), linked below. Level Pro is an auto-renewing subscription billed by Apple; you can cancel any time from your Apple ID settings. This page summarizes the parts specific to Level; Apple's EULA is the binding agreement.

1. The agreement that governs the app

Level is licensed, not sold, to you. Your license is governed by Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies to every app downloaded from the App Store that does not supply its own custom license. Level does not supply a custom license, so Apple's standard terms apply in full.

Read Apple's Standard EULA

By downloading or using Level, you agree to that EULA, to these Terms, and to our Privacy Policy.

2. What Level is

Level is a language-learning app that uses AI to generate lessons, transcribe and synthesize speech, and give you feedback on your practice. The free experience is metered by an in-app energy system; Level Pro removes that meter. We describe exactly what data this involves in our Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable use

Use Level for your own language learning. Please don't attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or abuse the service or the AI systems behind it, and don't use it to generate unlawful or harmful content. We may suspend access that threatens the integrity or security of the service.

5. The content you create

The practice text and audio you submit remain yours. You grant Level permission to process that content through our AI sub-processors solely to deliver your learning experience, exactly as described in the Privacy Policy. We don't claim ownership of your submissions, and they are never used to train AI models.

6. AI-generated content

Lessons, feedback, and explanations are generated by AI and, while carefully designed, can occasionally be imperfect or inaccurate. Level is a learning aid, not a certified language qualification or professional translation service.

7. Disclaimers & liability

Except where Apple's EULA or applicable law provides otherwise, Level is provided "as is" without warranties, and our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, give a more prominent notice.
